Belarus and Europe

IBB Minsk has supported consistently processes of building of a common house of Europe. For this purpose the Centre organizes various events for representatives of civil society, politicians and experts from different European countries. Thus, these activities contribute to the formation of civil society and the development of prospects of Belarus in Europe.
One of the major activities in this area is the annual partner conference of German, Belarusian and Ukrainian initiatives, which creates space for an open exchange of ideas, promotes the development of joint projects and networking.
The Support Program for Belarus of the Federal Government of Germany also helps German and Belarusian initiatives cooperate and encourage broadening the horizons while solving local issues in sustainable development.
During the recent years, the working group on foreign policy has been an important forum in which experts from universities and research institutions, together with representatives from the ministries and parliament discuss topical issues of conceptual formation of Belarusian foreign policy. Seminars on current political themes create space for open dialogue, all participants of which have a common purpose - an active search for ways to support the European integration processes and the participation of Belarus in it.
After the assignment of name Johannes Rau, IBB Minsk considers its responsibility to carry out activities for the preservation of the political and human heritage of this outstanding German politician, with the participation of prominent people of regional and federal levels of Germany. Debates to remembrance of Johannes Rau are held regularly throughout the years.
